Today is the time to connect the dots. Students identify recursive thinking, explicit functions, recursive equations and start to make connections to graphs of linear equations representing rates of change.

Today students continue to solidify their understanding about recursive and explicit equations, linear & geometric sequences, graphs, tables of values and other mathematical representations. The most important task includes the completion of a self-assessment and additional notes to be placed in the Math Journal. At this point students should understand:
The difference between recursive and explicit thinking. How to write a recursive equation How to write an explicit equation How to create a table of values How to tell the difference between a linear and exponential function. Students are introduced to Kahoot.it a formative assessment tool for the teacher to assess the level of understanding about arithmetic and geometric sequences and functions. |
